Zoo Day! Feeding the Giraffe!

So Asher has LOVED giraffes since he was about 2 months old! Every time we're at the zoo we are either there too late to feed the giraffe or Asher is asleep. Today he was awake and we were their early AND thanks to the 365 Project I actually brought my camera! I metered out & snapped a close up of the big guy then handed my camera to a worker and told her to click away! She got a couple good ones I was so happy!

 I had to put the food in Asher's hand then guide it to the giraffe's mouth. 

My friend Breanne & her daughter Aubrey joined in on the fun too!

 I love Aubrey in this picture! So cute!

 My next purchase; however, will be this stroller for Ash.

 It's time to sell my coveted Bumbleride stroller so we can look at purchasing a double stroller and I need something really small that will fit in my truck and can stay there 24/7 in the mean time. I think this will be perfect. Looks sturdier than your traditional umbrella stroller and has a parent caddy to hold my diet coke, what more do you need really!

Bachelor Backtalk and my regrets...

I'm sorry folks, tonight was horrible. I honestly can't stand Brad and don't think I can sit through another 2 hour episode of this show. Whether or not I'll be watching/posting next week is yet to be determined but I am thinking not. There wasn't a big turnout of comments on the last episode so I am thinking you guys feel the same! 

And guess who turned out to be a psycho! Yup, Michelle!

I think it was her birthday this episode but I can't be sure... (insert eye rolling here)

Field Trip Friday with Joy Is At Home

Hi Aly&Ash readers!! I'm Suzy and I am so excited to be visiting here today! I've been "blog stalking" Aly&Ash since long before I started my blog and I could go on and on about how big of a fan I am! I even made my own version of her tea towel cake for a friends grocery shower last year. It was a huge hit! Thanks for the idea, Jax! :)

I have a blog called Joy Is At Home, which is full of tutorials on decorating, organizing, gift making and giving all of my cheap-o garage sale finds a makeover! I have a brand new house that I am making a home and a wedding to be planned within in the next 5 months so there is always something going on and a new craft to be shared! I hope you stop by sometime and say hello! Here is a quick sample of what you will find over at Joy Is At Home.

 One of my favorite projects are these Coasters made from Terra Cotta Pot Holders. They are SO easy and make great gifts!

This dishwasher magnet was made out of an old CD.... super easy and free!
{good thing, since my little 4 lb dog chewed it up almost immediately!}

Another fav is this Cabinet Door Photo Frame. I found the cabinet door at the Restore for $1 and made it into this piece of art!
{can you tell I'm on a budget?!}

And this Christmas I made this wreath from a couple sticks of berries from Michaels. My whole house was decorated in silver and blue!

I love to make headbands and accessories! This headband was super easy and you can find a tutorial here. Now I just need a cute baby to model all of my headbands for me!

 This chalkboard menu hanging from my pantry used to be an ugly old picture frame. Click HERE for the easiest tutorial in the world.

 

And last are These SUPER EASY poppy headbands made from felt.....and only cost about 25 cents to make! I have a far too detailed tutorial posted if you'd like to make your own! :)

5/365 - We moved the very last thing from the house on Sunland Avenue today. It was our first house, where we brought home our first son & where the last 4 years of memories have been made! It will be missed!

It's Back!!!! Bachelor Backtalk Episode #1 + Cheat Sheet

Bachelor Backtalk Episode #1

 Well....what did you think ladies...did anyone else even watch it? Ha-ha! I debated strongly but decided to give it at least one episode.

Well first off I have to say, you'd think I'd be sick of seeing this guy get slapped in every commercial for the last two months or however long they've been advertising it but NOPE! It was fantastic! Ha-ha loved it! 

And the look on his face when Chris said that Jenny and Deanna were there, ahahhaahhaha priceless!

Any favorite girls yet? Mine are Emily from South Carolina & Michelle from Salt Lake! They are both so sweet, must be because they are both Moms! And I think Marissa from Kissimee, FL the sports publisit will be fun. Seems like there are some good ones and some weird ones for sure...like vampire chick (Madison). Really? really? WOW! Will you think you're as cool when you see your lipstick is all over your stupid vampire teeth? Bleh. And I think the Rockette (Keltie) missed the memo that the one earring thing is hideous!
